For years, friends and family of Cheri Swoboda, a home economist and former FOODday staffer, urged her to sell her incredible hand-made caramels. And now we’re happy to report that Swoboda has done just that. Her Mother Peach caramels are plump and buttery, with a tender, luxurious texture. They’re made in small batches in two flavors — original and chocolate — in a licensed Portland kitchen and then hand-wrapped. One of these babies with a cup of hot tea is our favorite way to jumpstart the afternoon.
